The Shadow Riders have descended upon Speed Duel and joined forces with other villainous characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX animated series to wreak havoc and unleash the powerful Sacred Beasts.
This boxed set is designed so that up to 8 players can create their own dynamic gaming experience with 8 pre-constructed decks and an assortment of other cards that can be used for customization. Which Shadow Duelist will you command? Here's a look at the list!

- The Supreme King! A cold-hearted Duelist hiding behind a familiar face, the Supreme King decimates his enemies with his "Evil Hero" Deck! This Deck uses the power of Dark Fusion for Fusion Summons instead of normal Polymerization.
- Camula, the Vampire! The second Shadow Rider to take on the Spirit Key defenders, Camula defeated both Dr. Crowler and Zane Truesdale with her "Vampire" deck. Vampires drain your opponent's HP and the contents of their deck as they resurrect again and again!
- The Shadow Duelist Titan! Although he would later become the sixth Shadow Rider, Titan tormented Jaden during his early days at the Dueling Academy at the behest of Dr. Crowler. The Titan's Chess Archfiend Deck is powerful and unpredictable - keep a six-sided die nearby when playing with it!
- Tania, the Amazon Warrior! As the third Shadow Rider to attack the Duel Academy, she quickly eliminated Bastion with her "Amazon" deck. The "Amazon" strategy focuses on all-around attacks, in which hordes of monsters descend upon the opponent. No monster can withstand her relentless pursuit forever.
- Amnael, the Alchemist, the seventh and final Shadow Rider! Banish your cards from the Duel to increase the attack power of your boss monster, the Golden Homunculus!
- Nightshroud, the evil force that controls Atticus Rhodes! His Dragon Deck's attacks are relentless, especially when Red-Eyes Dark Dragon enters the scene.
- Adrian Gecko, a Duelist from East Academy who plans to take full advantage of Yubel's power! His Cloudian Deck covers the field with its Mist Counters.
- Kagemaru, the true genius behind the Shadow Riders! Claim the power of the Sacred Beasts and destroy your rivals!

The box contains a total of 20 Ability cards: eight core Abilities for the pre-constructed Decks, an additional Ability for each of these Decks that lets you customize it to your liking, and four additional Ability cards that let you build your own Decks. If you chose the Speed Duel: Battle City Box and Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box, try building Zaalog's Dark Scorpions!
Each Speed Duel GX: Duelists of Shadows contains a total of 228 cards, all of which can be used in Speed Duel:
